Dr. David Wimberly has joined Boustead & Company Limited as a Senior Managing Director focusing on Merchant Banking, Financings, Valuations and Advisory Services. 

 

He was Founder & Senior Managing Director of David Wimberly & Co. LLC, a Merchant Banking and Financial Advisory firm, from 1974 to 2020, headquartered in the Jacksonville, Florida area,  and was associated with the New York based investment bank, Scott-Macon, Ltd., where he was a Managing Director, involved in Investment Banking, Valuation and Appraisal Services; the New York based investment bank, Trenwith Group, LLC, a subsidiary of BDO Seidman LLP, where he was Senior Vice President and Manager for the State of Florida, and also involved in Investment Banking, Valuation and Appraisal Services; and the international accounting and consulting firm, Price Waterhouse & Co., where he was a Certified Public Accountant, in the Atlanta, Georgia office.  

 

Dr. Wimberly is a double alumnus of Florida State University (Bachelor of Science) in engineering science and accounting, and (Master of Business Administration equivalent) in accounting; an alumnus of the University of Florida (Master of Science) in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a focus on Financial Engineering, and a double alumnus of Bensalem College (Doctor of Science) and (Doctor of Habilitation) both in Financial Engineering. He was an “active” Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida from September, 1975 to December, 2016 and is now  “not in public practice”, and he has earned numerous other professional credentials, such as CVA, CMAP, CLU, ChFC, AEP, FLMI, and RFP. Wimberly was previously registered as a Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities representative. He is a widely sought after speaker and has been invited to speak at the Florida State University, the University of Florida, Oxford University and University College London.
